KNOC was founded with the purpose of developing oil and gas resources, improving oil information business.

KNOC owns the Semi-submersible Drilling Unit 'Doo Sung' that was built in 1984 not only for the exploration of oil and gas in the Korea sea but also for the international offshore contract drilling services.

Doo Sung has grown to the international standards of offshore drilling industry with well-trained human resources, enhanced equipments, HSEQ system, ISO 9002 and ISM code.

Doo Sung has successfully performed the various offshore drilling projects under severe conditions in North America, Southeast Asia and offshore Korea.

It has a record for safety operation of consecutive Non-Lost Time Accident recognized by IADC since 1996.
